Table of Contents
The general Options tab presents several options relating to Xfmedia's behavior:
The Playlist section allows customization of how the playlist itself behaves.
The "Title Display" option allows the title displayed in the playlist to be customized. Hover the mouse over the text box for a tooltip description of how the format string works.
"Advance playlist when track ends" determines whether or not Xfmedia will automatically play the next entry in the playlist when the current entry ends.
"Don't save playlist on exit for one-shot invocations" determines how Xfmedia will decide whether or not to save the playlist on exit. If checked, Xfmedia will try to guess whether or not the current playlist is intended to be kept, and, if so, will store it in ~/.cache/xfmedia/playlist.m3u. The next time Xfmedia is started, it will load this playlist. With this option checked, Xfmedia will assume that the playlist should not be saved if it was started with an argument list.
The "Load metadata" option controls when track metadata is loaded. If "On scroll" is selected, Xfmedia will load track metadata for playlist entries when they become visible in the list. "On play" instructs Xfmedia to only load metadata when a file is played, and "Never" causes Xfmedia never to load metadata. Okshot">
